What is an implant? Can it be done to everyone?
The implant is an artificial tooth root placed in the jaw in order to replace the missing teeth. The implants are usually made of titanium. It is applied to individuals over 18 years of age who have good general health status and have completed chin and face development. Before treatment, it is determined by X-ray that the jaw structure is suitable for the implant. Diabetes patients must be in order before treatment. Blood thinners are discontinued.
Is the implant operation difficult and painful? How much will it take?
The level of pain the patient feels during and after the implant operation is equal to the pain experienced during tooth extraction. So it is a very comfortable operation for the patient. In a normal case, the implant insertion time is approximately 20-30 minutes.
Why implantation should be preferred?
With the loss of teeth, the bone tissue that should be present in the teeth melts and a reduction in bone tissue occurs. Maximum bone and gingival loss occurs within the first 3 months after the tooth is removed. missing teeth were completed with bridge and palate prostheses before. The missing teeth in front and back of the missing tooth are cut and the patient has to cut at least 2 intact teeth because the missing tooth is completed with a porcelain bridge. With the dental implant, a healthy neighboring tooth is not cut and there is no need for a palate prosthesis that makes strokes to the gum.
Can the implant be applied after the tooth is extracted? When can it be applied?
- -Implant application process depends on the patient’s mouth, jaw and bone structure.
- -In appropriate cases, the same session with tooth extraction is applied.
- -In some cases 4-8 weeks after tooth extraction.
- -Can be applied after 3 months or 6 months depending on the condition of the lower and upper jaw.
Is the first examination (oral diagnosis) necessary in dentistry?
There is a wide variety of dental treatments. Correct planning of these treatments provides more comfortable and shorter treatment periods. The basis of treatment planning is the diagnosis, and the planning of these tests during the first examination?
What are the reasons for gingival recession?

What is tooth decay? How do we know our teeth are rotting?
Tooth decay is the loss of hard tissue in cases where tooth surfaces are not cleaned sufficiently after ingestion of caries (sugar and carbohydrates). Sensitivity to cold and sugary foods in teeth indicates tooth decay. The presence of gray-brownish spots on the teeth may also indicate tooth decay.
What is endodontics?
Canal treatment is a form of treatment in cases where the nerve (pulp) cannot be repaired. Pulp is the tooth which is located in the inner part of the tooth and is responsible for the development, nutrition and defense of the tooth. Bacteria often cause inflammation of the pulp in broken teeth or deep caries. If the inflamed or damaged nerve is not removed, it causes infection of the tooth or surrounding tissues and the tooth is lost. The pulp tissue should be removed and the canal cavity cleaned, shaped and filled with canal fillers. These procedures are defined as canal treatment.
